About the event

Class description: This class will help you start preparing to get your Technician Amateur Radio license. Besides the fun of talking with other HAMS, amateur radio is useful in crisis response and emergency work. This class is required for attending Intro to Amateur Radio (Part 2) on Friday morning.

Cost: Pre-registration and payment of $15 is required to attend the Intro to Amateur Radio classes (covers your textbook)

Bring to class: If you have questions about your HAM radio, please bring it with you to class.

About the Teacher: Joe Story developed an interest in amateur radio for two reasons. First, he saw the importance of amateur radio in emergency and crisis management, traditionally an area of service in which Seventh-day Adventists have been active. Second, amateur radio provides a means of fellowship and study for HAMS throughout the conference and the Northwest and world field.

Max sign-ups: 10
