About the event
Class description: Losing a family member is very difficult, and navigating the financial aftermath is very challenging as well. In this class, you will learn your responsibilities as the survivor (such as closing the estate and/or being the “successor trustee” or “executor”) in hopes of easing this process for you.
About the Teacher: Jim Brown has been the president of the Western Adventist Foundation since 2001 (which is the organization that provides trust services for the Montana SDA Conference and constituents). He started working at WAF in 1989, became the President in 2001, and serves as the Trust Director for the Montana SDA Conference. Jim started working in Trust Services in 1988. He has a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He is a Certified Specialist in planned giving. He lives in Chandler, Arizona, with Cindy, his wife of 41 years, and their two cats.
