Adventist Education

Notice from the Montana Conference Board of Directors:  going forward general evangelism funding may also be allocated to Adventist education.

This is in alignment with the approach of the world church evangelism program and with counsel in the Spirit of Prophecy stating that the work of education and redemption are “one” (Education p. 30) and that our schools play an important role in the work of “winning” souls. (Ministry, June 1990).

Adventist Education has come a long way since 1853 when Martha Byington opened the first known church school for Sabbatarian Adventists in Buck's Bridge, New York. Today you'll find Adventist schools in nearly 150 countries. 85,000 teachers, 1.5 million students, 7,500 schools—the Adventist school system is one of the largest Christian educational systems in the world.

Imagine attending school with towering mountains outside your classroom window or even having the ability to watch ground squirrels scurry around in the prairie. Montana offers a wide variety of environments in which it is easy to recognize the Creator's fingerprints. The majority of Adventist schools across Montana are 1-2 teacher schools, which provide a family atmosphere for students. Each teacher has a passion for teaching and ministering to the families in their school communities.

The Education team at the Montana Conference is here to support the schools, teachers, students, and families. Let's do this together!
