About the event

Class description: “They shoot canoes, don’t they?!” If you’d like to know why, join us for this interactive classroom voyage through basic canoe craft. We’ll consider canoe design, safety, reading water, and many useful paddle strokes. Also interpreting advice from expert and often excited canoe partners. If you’d like to ‘simplify’ your outdoor activities…stay away from this class! But we’d love to have you join us. Please note: An afternoon off-site canoe trip, down the Madison River, is planned with your instructors, but it must be registered for separately.
About the Teachers: JD Harding and Rod Boothby are excited to share their hair-raising, back-breaking, boat-sinking, and spectacular experiences for this leaning adventure! With dozens of expeditions, covering hundreds of miles of rural and wilderness trips, in Canada and the US, consider yourself in seaworthy company. Both of these boys were holding a paddle when others were still holding a rattle!…
