About the event

Class description: Explore simple home remedies that can be used for some ailments, using materials and plants readily available. Also we’ll explore charcoal, NEW START, sprouting, and drying herbs.
About the Teacher: I’ve been interested in health ever since my Bible professor at WAU ( then CUC!) pointed out the connection between diet and longevity in God’s Word. I now realize that this is much more intricate than he portrayed it…but still it resonates. Dr. Agatha Thrash presented several lectures in Alaska when we lived there. I observed first hand, in our family, how well some of her simple measures worked. I have also observed that natural remedies don’t always work, and that we have to deal with them carefully and wisely. (Broken arm??? Head for the ER!)
