Poem: Jesus Whispered to Me

Karen Evans, Member of Trout Creek SDA Church

Throw away the filthy clothes you wear,

I have new clothes I want to share,

All clean and white, no stain of sin,

They bring you joy and peace within.

Why cling to rags, your favorite clothes?

My righteous garments won’t expose.

No sin, no shame, I won’t condemn.

I came to restore you and redeem.

But you must trade and give me yours;

That’s your choice, I will not force.

I want to dress you like a queen,

So only My character is seen.

But again, you must give me all. . . .

All your thoughts and your own ways,

Your plans, your dreams for brighter days,

I know it all, I know what’s best.

So trust me now, I’ll do the rest.

The peace, the joy, the strength, I give.

I know the plan and how to live.

Life to the fullest I have in store.

So trust Me, and ask no more!
