Your Faith. Your Legacy.
thoughtful stewardship
Giving according to a PLAN will continue making a difference tomorrow.
Planned giving can help you make resourceful decisions that turn certain assets into an income stream while also creating a charitable gift for the ministry or organizations you care about.

1. What is Planned Giving?
The Montana Conference and the North Pacific Union Conference work together to help Adventist members make thoughtful plans for their finances for the support God's work:
-
Depending on the type of gift, the assets used, and your individual circumstances, a planned gift may offer real tax advantages.
-
Some planned gifts provide benefits during your lifetime; others are designed to make a gift in the future once the funds are no longer needed for personal use.

2. What are some of the options I have for planned giving?
-
Charitable Gift Annuities — This is a simple agreement where you make a gift to charity and, in return, receive fixed payments for life.
-
Charitable Remainder Trusts — Contact the Planned Giving/Trust Services Department for more information about this option (click on BUTTON below).
-
Donor-Advised Funds — Make a simple, flexible gift and receive an immediate tax benefit. You may also recommend grants to your favorite causes over time.
-
Revocable Cash Asset Trusts — A true "gift in waiting," these trusts are a flexible way to set aside charitable funds where donors retain control. They can revise, or initiate cancellation of their plan at any time.
-
Estate Planning — Directs how assets are distributed to the beneficiaries you designate after you pass away. This includes wills and trusts.
-
Existing Will or Trust — If you already have a will or trust on file with Montana Conference, we can help you navigate any changes you might want to make.
3. How does the process go?
