About the event

Class description: Every marriage is unique by God’s design. Since all marriages go through mountains and valleys, how can we minimize the lows and maximize the highs? “Truth telling” regarding worth and value - about yourself and your spouse is a key that is foundational to a healthy marriage. Another key is learning respectful communication skills while we “speak the truth in love.” We will discuss both of these and in the process we will share glimpses of our own journey over the past 47 years of marriage.
About the Teacher: Merlin and Cheryl retired in 2017 but have been in pastoral and church leadership for 35+ years. They enjoy seeing marriages grow and have been conducting marriage seminars and weekend retreats for over 30 years. They have two sons and five grandchildren. Among other things, they enjoy bird-watching, hiking, singing, playing musical instruments, rock climbing, and doing seminars together!
